Photo Guidelines
Your pet will be drawn exactly as in the photo that you have sent. Please write a note in order if you have a special request.
We want to get the custom portrait of your beloved pet just right, so here are some tips to get that perfect result!
- Upload a photo with high resolution (generally any photo taken on your phone will work)
- Take a photo at eye level
- Have your pet positioned exactly as you want them illustrated
- Make sure your pet's head and neck is completely visible. For full body portraits, make sure your pet's entire body is within frame
- Choose a photo that best represents your pet's colours. Avoid over-exposure, filters, or excessive shadows. Note that colours may vary from screen to screen. What we see on our screens may not be the same as what you see on yours
-
- Blurry picture
- Not a true representation of coat colour
-
- Harsh shadows
- Can't see face
-
- Not fully in frame
- Not looking at the camera
My pet won't sit still!
We love how all pets have different personalities and we want to reflect that in the artwork.
If your pet likes to run around, or is camera shy, we can work with you to create a beautiful portrait of them doing what they do best. As long as the picture isn't blurry, just leave it in our trusty hands.
Don't worry. If the photo isn't suitable, we'll send you an email and we can work something out.
